WHEN AND WHERE
Monday’s away game at Stourbridge is going to be taking place after Saturday’s game against Bedford was cancelled due to the unfortunate passing of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We will be going to this game with our heads held high and we will be playing and fighting for that win in respect of her Majesty. After our latest win against Belper Town in the FA Cup, which is our sixth win in a row, the team will be trying their hardest to make that a seventh and keep us at the top of the table for our league! This is an away game at 7:45pm at the Stourbridge War Memorial Athletic Ground, but if you can’t make it, don’t worry we will be posting all the important updates on our twitter: @NuneatonBoroFC.

TEAM NEWS

We will be announcing matchday information & ticket details shortly if you’re planning to go and support the team!
PREVIOUS MEETING
Our last game against Stourbridge was Saturday 5th March 2022, which resulted in a draw of 1-1 for us!
In the first half, both teams struggled to take control of the match with both teams having a few chances but none reaching the goal, so at the half time whistle, the first half ended 0-0.
The second half started off the same way however, just passing the hour mark, the Boro started to take more charge of the ball, giving us hope of a goal! And towards the end of the second half, the left half played the ball over to Obeng who got into the box and got the goal that put us in a comfortable lead!
However our celebration was cut short when only 3 minutes later, Stourbridge was gifted a penalty which was scored by Vaughan after sending Breeden the wrong way, which made the score go back to a draw.
Full time: 1-1

LAST OUTING
Our last game was our first FA Cup qualifying game against Belper Town which our sixth win in a row with a full time score of 3-1!
The first goal of the match was scored by the opposing team putting them in a slight lead for the start of the match, which meant we fought harder to make sure our supporters got to see us win our first FA Cup qualifying match of the season! 34 minutes in Belper Town’s Alex Peterson had a goal straight past our defence going into the low part of the goal.
Unfortunately for us, we didn’t get anything in the goal in the first half but only 3 minutes after the second half started, Prince Mancinellis kicked the ball straight over to Kane Richards who had a lovely goal and gave us the chance to equalise the score to 1-1!
Goal number 2 came to the Boro only 9 minutes after Richards amazing goal! Jaden Charles took the corner wanting the team to gain that lead and kicked the ball over to Matt Stenson who headed the ball past the goalie and into the back of the net giving us the comfortable 2-1 lead!
With only 20 minutes of game time left, we were still sitting in the lead with 2 goals to 1, but then we got given a penalty which was won by Tyrell Waite. Matt Stenson was the one in charge of penalty and this was our chance to be very far in the lead and giving Belper a minimal chance of catching up with us. He did a brilliant run and he kicked the ball in the top left corner, giving us that 3-1 win, after sending the goalie the wrong way.
Full Time: 3-1
