Nuneaton progress to the First Round Proper of the FA Trophy which is scheduled to be played on the weekend of Saturday 29th October.

Boro played host for the FA Trophy Third Round Qualifying game against Hinckley Leicester Road.

Hinckley started the game with a chance inside the first two minutes. A corner found Read who looked to place the ball into the corner however he put it narrowly wide.

A few moments later, Luke Benbow found himself one on one against Will Highland. A misplaced pass from Humphreys allowed Benbow to pick up the loose ball before a great challenge from the back tracking Jenno kept the scores level.

Rev James fired Nuneaton into the lead on the 13th minute. The winger controlled the ball nicely using his chest before swinging the ball into the top corner with his left foot.

Just two minutes later and James doubled his goal tally and doubled the lead. A thunderous effort towards goal from inside the box. The keeper had little time to react adding to our advantage.

Just after half an hour, Jaden Charles had his corner punched away by Highland.

Two chances in the space of two minutes for the visitors just before the break. Humphreys won the header from a corner but headed narrowly wide. Moments later Liam Read set up Simon Alcott on the edge of the area who shot over.

Half Time 2-0

Joseph Lyne had a chance in the opening minutes after Yaegan Gore found him at the back post. Lyne fired wide of the post on the volley.
