OJM grab a draw at Redditch Borough after a second half goal from Josh Mussell levelled it for Adam Younis’s team.

The away side played some good football on a well maintained surface in the early stages of the game. Defending the bottom end of the slope OJM were solid against a tenacious and hard working Redditch Borough.

However a penalty was awarded around 40 minutes when an OJM trialist made contact with the Redditch Borough forward. Up stepped midfielder Dean Fisher who went to the left of OJM goalkeeper Tom Clapp, with the keeper getting near it as it went just past Clapp and into the net to put the home team ahead 1-0.

Kicking down the slope second half OJM dominated possession and got the ball into the box on numerous occasions, putting the Redditch back line and goalkeeper under pressure. A ball across the six yard box was met by Josh Mussell who calmly put the ball into the goal to make it 1-1.

In what was a fairly even game overall, both sides used this match to give minutes to trialists and players a run out in different positions.
