Harry Williams was in the starting fifteen for England Students when they took on France Students at Richmond last Friday evening.
Williams, a former pupil of Whitgift School, was a team-mate of Sam Farmer, Ben Ransom (both England U-18) and Rob White in a very successful junior team at Old Elthamians. He played for the youth section for a number of seasons before accepting the chance to play and be coached in New Zealand. Since coming back home he has taken a place at Loughborogh College and has represented the college at tight-head prop.
Forwards tend to grow into their positions later than backs, none more so than a prop. This is a significant achievement for Williams and is hopefully the start of a long international career. Our congratulations go to him.
