The Super 2s go into this weeks game against Gravesend full of confidence. The squad is getting continuity in selection, and is showing the wonderful talent coming through from the Academy. 16 of the 18 selected have come through the Academy/Youth system, or, from Eltham College.

The squad has been training together since January and have developed a great team spirit. This was shown last week against a well drilled Canterbury 2nd side, who are in National 2 (four leagues above OEs). With 6 minutes to go we were leading 14-8, but we could not hold on and went down 14-20. The defence was outstanding, and several Academy players like: Conor Walsh (17), Anton Dennis (18), Josh Parks (19), Alex Flowers (17), Josh Raisey (17), Jon Leaton (17), Alex Fisher (17), Luke Copper (17) and Paris Warnell (17) are finding life very comfortable in Senior rugby.

If the Juniors and Academy keep churning out this kind of talent each year, Old Elthamians will have a very bright future.
