All new players are assured of the warmest of welcomes to our U6s group.
The focus at this age is all about fun, whilst teaching some of the basics of the game; catching, passing and running.
Sessions usually start with a warm up and a welcome to any new players attending. This was then followed by a circuit, showing the children how to catch, run & pass. Numbers permitting, we then split into groups of 3 or 4 and parents can help out with passing drills.
A game of birds nest or tackle bag or maybe tag alley would follow. All used to improve fundamental rugby skills.
We always finish with a game of bulldog with the parents being “the catchers” and then we form a tunnel after and clap each other off.
Everything we do encompasses England Rugby's Core Values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline & Sportsmanship - TREDS.
Training starts again on 6th September 2020 but look out for news and events across the Summer.
