Penalties: O. Taylor
OH produced a sensational first-half performance to stun Streatham-Croydon and condemn them to a first home defeat since 2022.
Thom Braund provided two powerful finishes to help open up a 12-0 lead, and after periods of resisting intense Streatham pressure following both tries, Paddy Wheeler opened up a three-score gap at the break.
Streatham immediately struck after half-time, and were back within seven points when they scored another after a long period camped on our line, but Oli Taylor slotted a crucial penalty immediately after the second to restore a healthy cushion.
After Max Vyvyan and Jamie Lashley’s beautiful move up the left sent Jordan Baker in for our bonus point try Streatham struck back once again, but with Vyvyan tackled high with the line begging the referee awarded a penalty try, which confirmed a special victory and ended our long run of defeats at Frant Road.
