Pre-season has begun for both the men's and women's. Hornets & The Wooden Spoon International Tag Festival.

The Rundown:

Last week pre-season kick started for the men’s & women’s sections, if you haven’t made it down yet, it’s not too late! (Training times are as follows: men 7pm Tuesday & Thursday, women 7.30pm Monday & Wednesday) If you hung your boots up at the end of the season, I would encourage you to give walking rugby a try on Wednesday nights at 6.45pm, it’s a great way to continue playing and to stay fit.

Congratulations to 8 of OLS U13’s, who have made it into “The Wildcats” England west regional touch team U14’s boys squad for the upcoming nationals in August. . Go well lads in August.

On Saturday 22nd June our Hornets took part in The Wooden Spoon International Tag Festival, the festival took place at Broadstreet RFC in Coventry, drawing an enthusiastic crowd and fostering an atmosphere of joy and inclusivity. The festival was set for a day full of rugby excitement and community spirit. With 23 teams for Under and Over 15s with mild and severe learning disabilities, the festival marked the start of Wooden Spoon’s broader initiative to expand the disability rugby scene across the UK and Ireland.
