Rishworthians were literally kicked out of this Counties 1 Yorkshire game.
They could not match the quality of the West Leeds kicking game, which constantly pinned them back especially in the first half.
They came back strongly though to level the scores in the second half, but the home side took charge in the last quarter with unconverted tries in both corners.
The result took West Leeds a point above Rishworthians in the lower end of the table.
The home side took an early lead forcing their way over for a converted try after several phases.
The visitors quickly hit back, snapping up a loose ball and moving it about across the field before outstanding lock James McHugh crashed over. Full back Steven Scott converted.
A good penalty kick put Rishworthians back to their own line and from a catch and drive the home side retook the lead with an unconverted try. A penalty put them further ahead although Scott got one back for the visitors on the stroke of half time.
Soon after the restart, great work by the backs led to a five-metre scrum and the ball went out for teenage winger Harry Greenwood to force his way over, but the ball was adjudged to be held up.
One of the few poor home clearance kicks brought a Rishworthian try. Scott gathered the ball and fed flanker Greg Withers, who made a great burst, but was stopped just short of the line. He managed to get the ball away for fellow flanker Jacob Bower to touch down and level the scores.
A flowing home move brought a try in the left corner though and a penalty took them further ahead.
They kept up the pressure and drew in the defence to leave space out wide for a try in the right corner to leave Rishworthians with little time to hit back.
