Playing up the slope in the first half, The Willies saw much of the ball for the first 20 minutes. Strong set piece work kept play in the Faversham 22, however inaccuracy meant multiple chances were not converted.
Faversham picked up 2 scores in the half; firstly through a driving line out and the second coming from a phase of Old Williamsonian mistakes. 12-0 the score at half time.
In the second half, strong Defence kept Faversham camped around their 22. The first try for the boys in gold came as Faversham tried to kick out, good running from the back 3 culminated in Tom Collins scoring under the posts 12-7.
With 10 minutes left on the clock, The Willies scored their 2nd of the day through Harry Stanford, only for it to be ruled out by the touch judge. The resulting play culminated in a scrum which saw Lawrence Chittil run a good line to finish under the posts. Man of the match, Will Collins converted the score to put The Willies ahead 14-12.
A win in the road was celebrated by all. The Old Boys are in action next on Saturday 22nd at home to Foots Cray.
