First Ever Ossett Women's Second Team Game

For the first ever run out of Ossett Women’s second team we travelled to Wortley for a touch rugby tournament. Ossett joined our new friends at Burnley RUFC to create a team against Huddersfield RUFC and Wortley RUFC. The team played two games of seven-a-side. Both games were quick paced with fast hands and great teamwork between the Ossett and Burnley players. A special mention to Claire for breaking through the opposition defence and scoring her first try.

The final game saw Ossett/Burnley team up with Huddersfield, the pitch expanded and a 10-a-side game against Wortley. The Wortley attack was particularly fast and organised but the team put a shift in to slow down the attack, put in some ball handling moves and break through their defensive line.

A great run out for the second team with lots of positives and things to take back to training and work on. Well done team.
