A good performance from Albion in the first half saw them playing with purpose and creating chances. The goal came in the 22nd minute when Joe Wilkinson bundled the ball in at the far post from a corner.
The second half initially saw Colne raising their game and Albion seemed to fade until Colne equalised with 20 minutes remaining. The game then became end to end with both sides trying to find a winner.
It was Albion who finally found the vital goal, in time added on, when Andy Welsh fired a shot at goal which was deflected past Matthew Green in the Colne goal.
A much improved performance from Albion.
