Well… what a twelve months for the Steelmen that will go down in the history books of all time. From the turn of 2024 the team were chasing the league and cup.

The run didn’t disappoint but wasn’t made easy by the good old British weather calling off games, so by the final part of the season the team were playing three times a week.

Teams around us were saying it’s too much but the lads had other ideas going on to claim the league title away Wombwell Town making us NCEL Division One Champions.

A couple of weeks later we played in the NCEL League Cup Final, defeating Emley who were the NCEL Premier Division Champions at this stage. An historic double and the lads and fans celebrated in style.

Our new season began without a lot of the players who had made us double winners now in the NCEL Premier Division. Our Manager Scott Mason (Nebsy) had a big job on his hands. So far we’ve started well currently lying in 11th place.

The rebuild he’s done has taken time and things are coming together, the lads have pulled off some stunning results and performances.

This year we have added to our First Team and Reserves with two new male and female youth teams which are making great progress.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank a few. We are very fortunate to have such committed and hard working volunteers who are with us always so thank you.
