Struggles with departing players continued this week with Niall Smith, Ross Duggan & top goalscorer Jamie Austin all exiting for lower league clubs.
Scott Mason needed to dig into the development teams at the club, promoting Harley Moore (16yrs) from the Reserves who played 70 minutes in the win v Beverley Town.
Thomas Rotherham (TRC) Scholar Jacob Pearson started once again, adding the third goal to cap off a good day for the Steelmen.
There were also debuts for Brad Gregory, who has scored 6 goals in 5 starts for the Reserves; he came off the bench.
Teenager Andrew Newbolt (16yrs) also got a few minutes after being subbed on.
The Reserves also welcome two players from the U17’s with Connor Sanderson playing his second game and Jayden Wawrosz starting up top. Wawrosz, especially in the second half, was superb!
Former TRC Scholar Sam Holland played the whole game at Right-Back for the Reserves - ever present.
TRC Scholar Alfie Bramwell was an unused sub at North Gawber for the Reserves.
