With the Hawick Sevens postponed, an invite to the Forth coast was accepted, and Peebles appeared at the North Berwick 7s for the first time in many years. With a strong side, Peebles were expected to do well, and so this proved as they started with a 26-10 win against Haddington who went on to win the plate.
Next up were the Exiles made up of North Berwick players who had moved away from the area and playing for other clubs. With the Exiles dispatched 28-10, the semi final against Preston Lodge went the way of the Borderers 31-10.
The final was an all Border affair as a strong Gala YM side faced Peebles. Peebles led twice going 7-0 then 14-7 ahead only for Gala to equalise. The YM however went ahead with 3 minutes to go and took the cup with a 21-14 victory.
