Dunning Primary school completed eight weeks of rugby training with the Perthshire Rugby Development team and during that period finished the SRU/Foods Standards Agency Schools award.The scheme, for primary 5/6 pupils, involves the study of subjects such as healthy eating,food science,healthy lifestyle and hygiene.The pupils are assessed after each section by their teachers and the Perthshire team ,and at the end of the programme each successful pupil receives a certificate of achievement.
In return for their participation, the schools also receives a box of rugby kit which includes balls, bibs, cones etc.
