PNS Going the extra mile!

https://www.pitchero.com/admin/club/34959/site-content/photos/view?album_id=968411With the country going into lock down at the start of the new year, co-directors Vince, Scott and James launched a competition for players and coach's as an incentive to stay fit and mindful during this period.
The challenge was to run as many Km as possible up until the end date of 31st January, the competition was broken down into 4 categories, with meal vouchers at the Rose and Crown Thorney and JD Sports vouchers up for grabs.
PNS are proud to present our winners and their winning totals Josh Pike (133Km,) Alexa Hunter (89Km,) Jake Currall (162Km) and Ibrahim Bangora (101Km).
Here is what some of them had to say...

“The competition was a great initiative by the club to keep all players (and staff) fit during the current situation that we’re in. During these times, it’s important to get outside keep active for both our physical and mental well being. It has been a great opportunity to maintain our fitness levels, so that when we return, we are as ready as we possibly can be to hit the ground running again. Seeing everyone at the club getting involved, including the ladies and junior sections, has been fantastic and hopefully when we return we are ready to bring success to the club at all levels!” Josh Pike.

"What a great idea by PNS for everyone to get involved in. I had a really good time doing the challenge and at the same time it was real good fun. I know that some of my fellow teammates did this challenge and that helped to motivate me. This should give all the players a positive attitude and excellent fitness levels for whenever the next game may be" Jake Currall.

"I am delighted to win this competition and this amazing reward thank you all so, so much. I am also very thankful that this challenge was put up this motivated me to get up in the morning and run??⚽️" Ibrahim Bangora.

Three other youth players achieved over 100Km, Ruby Gockels, Neive Corry and Harry Pinguenet. For such an amazing achievement, each are awarded a complimentary football.
