Graeme Murray has today committed himself to the role of Pinxton Football Club secretary for the remainder of the 2020/21 season and beyond.
'Grez' is a local lad, already known by many at the club, and a regular attendee the Van Elle Arena to support Pinxton when the boys are in action.
The club have been without a secretary since the sudden passing of Andy 'Woody' Wood back in early October and a decision was made with a heavy heart to recruit somebody into the role when the time was right.
With the grassroots scene potentially (& hopefully) coming out of a national lockdown in a couple of weeks time, it has been anticipated by the club that fixtures for both first team and development team will come thick and fast in December and into January (weather & pitch depending) in attempts to play catch up and put the club in a healthier position with the amount of games having been played.
Bringing Graeme into the club prior to this happening so he can get up to speed with his roles and responsibilities is just about at the right time, and will definitely be of aid to the Committee & Management staff during this busy period.
Welcome aboard Graeme - Hope you're ready for the ride #ChooChoo
*Our thanks must go out to those that applied for the vacant role. Thank you for your time and efforts spent contacting the club and putting yourself forward*
