James Harris is now firmly established as a First Team player with Glamorgan County Cricket Club. Our loss is their gain and we wish James every success for the future.
Daniel Roberts played for Glamorgan Under 17s and Glamorgan Academy last season, scoring over 550 runs including a highest score of 131 against Buckinghamshire at an average of around 45.
He toured Dubai with the Glamorgan Academy in December 2008, scoring over 320 runs, including an Academy record of 192 in a 50 over game.
At the Glamorgan CCC Presentation Dinner, he was named as their "Most Promising Young Player" for 2008.
He spent a week training with England Under 16s and the England Development Team at Loughborough University.
Together with his club colleagues Matthew Roberts (brother) and Ashley Pass, Daniel toured the West Indies with The South Wales Cricket Association in February 2009.
Junior Club players who have toured with representative sides during the winter have included Matthew Jones, Rhys Samuel, Andrew Williams and Rhys Thomas.
