Portadown BBOB had an emphatic 7-1 away victory in Armagh v Red Star. The BB took a 3rd minute lead, Jake Gilpin crossing for Aaron Thornbury to slot home. Red Star then had a chance to level but fired wide from the edge of the area. The BB doubled there lead. Gilpin again the provider, this time for Matty Donaldson to fire low past the home keeper. BB keeper Paul Beattie then reacted well to keep out a deflected shot from just inside the penalty box. A third goal came after good play between Gilpin and Willie Donaldson, with the latter rounding the keeper to score. Gilpin himself then got on the score sheet, latching onto an Andrew McCandless through ball just before the halftime whistle. HT 0-4
The BB made it 0-5 shortly into the second half, Gilpin broke down the left and put in a great cross for Aaron Thornbury to notch a second for himself. Red Star pushed players forward, and Gilpin got another shortly after, McCandless again the provider from right back, threading a pass through to Gilpin, to round the keeper and get his second and his sides sixth of the day. Red Star then got a goal back, a mix up in the BB defence letting the striker slot past Keeper Beattie. The BB's final goal came via Man of the Match Jake Gilpin, who again broke down the left and put in another great cross, this time for Stuart Treanor to fire home. FT 1-7
