2019 beckons as club prepares to build on success of 2018.

Porth Cricket Club held its annual general meeting at Steinbeck & Shaw with a strong representation from members. We dragged the club into the 21st century by saving trees as all content was delivered on Powerpoint.

All officers reflected on 2018 with a positive manner and were delighted with the progress made. Notable highlights included increase in social events, fundraising focus, performances on the pitch, strength of captain report results and delivering midweek cricket despite challenges.

The club moved on to reviewing a brand new constitution which was adopted.

Role profiles were created for all committee positions which is a real plus and gives clarity to members and their committee on responsibilities in the role.

Following Officers were elected -

Chairman - Gareth Williams
Vice-Chairman - Leigh Thomas
Treasurer - Gareth Edwards
Secretary - Robert Moss
Saturday Captain - Lewis Davies
Midweek Captain - Robert Moss
CWO - Gareth Williams

The club has been fortunate to receive two sponsorship offers for the upcoming season for our social top which was agreed on the evening. We look forward to announcing these in a separate correspondence upon completion.

Fundraisers like LMS will continue and we will look at any other means to help raise valuable funds for the club.

Kit provider will remain the same with UDesign delivering great service for us and we now have the addition of a club shop as a resource for kit orders to be made.

Social Events were discussed and 2019 will be a busy year with more details to follow on individual events!
