Club Statement – FA Trophy match abandonment at Bedford Town:

Having taken an early lead through Ben Ward-Cochrane in the game and leading 1-0 well into added on time at the end of the second half - an injury to one of our players then lead to an incident which involved a number of players and team officials from both sides.

At this point the referee abandoned the game.

Both clubs are extremely disappointed at this incident arising in what had been a good cup-tie.

We now await the referee’s report and explanation.

We also await the FA’s decision on the outcome of the match.

At this stage there will be no further comment made.
