Prescot Cables can confirm that winger Jack Goodwin has expressed a desire to test himself at a higher level and will not be returning to Hope Street for pre-season.

Jack has an opportunity to play at Step 2 in the National League North, with recently promoted Marine AFC, and we wish him every success in his future career.

An important player in our promotion season, Goodwin featured 43 times for the Pesky Bulls in 2023/24, scoring 8 goals.

Since making his Cables debut vs Kidsgrove Athletic in January 2022, Goodwin posted 92 appearances in Amber & Black; netting 22 goals.
Jack was awarded the clubs 'Young Player of the Season' in 2022/23 as reward for an outstanding campaign.
