Golborne & Prescot M3 travelled to Knutsford 1 for the next instalment of what’s proving to be a challenging league campaign. With a patched up side and some committed double up appearances from part of the team, the first half played out in a barrage of home team pressure and penalty corners. Attacking profligacy and stubborn resistance saw G&PHC go into the break very much in the game at 2-0 down. The second half was a more even contest, yes the away team were consigned to playing on the break but threatened and continued to defend resolutely. Knutsford pressed and had a couple of breaks in nicking a second half 3-0 score line, which wasn’t reflective of the 35m play. Final score 5-0, with player of the match Phil Cunnington taking the honours home this week, along with some cramp
