Knowing me Alan Mantridge...Knowing you Rob ‘1 more pint’ Bentham...AHA!!

Which canal links the Mediterranean with the Red Sea?

Suez Canal

I have been likened to Israeli heart-throb, Yossi Benayoun, in chiseled good looks and playing style. Which footballer, past or present, do you most resemble and why?

I have been compared in looks to the handsome fella Lucio before… Personally though I would compare myself to RVP, for the sweet left foot and goal scoring ability… mixed in with a bit of Paul Scholes for the tackling…

Greatest moment in a Project shirt?

Greatest moment so far would have to be in the Sunday game against SWAG, our likely closest challengers for the title this season. With the scores locked at 1-1 we reach around the 70th minute, a long ball in to the opposition’s box is knocked down by bobby algar leaving myself little to do but dispatch a right footed, out swinging, half volley into the top corner. We end up winning 3-1 with the Yak notching another to somewhat take the shine off of my ‘winner’. Hoping to top this with a couple of league title and cup wins.

It’s 11:30pm on a Saturday, in the Underdog; Project have torn another SW London team a new one earlier that day…the drinks are flowing, bombs have been sunk when you spot your girlfriend/A1 prospect for slotting, cornered by a Spartan. Who would you least like said Spartan to be and why?

Probably Carlton… As PCFC’s cover model if anyone’s going to be able to divert a womans gaze it would probably be this man. And as the saying goes, they never go back…

Swiss Toni of Fast Show fame once said that playing for Project Clapham is much like making love to a beautiful women. Compare and contrast.

Playing for PCFC is much like making love to a beautiful woman in that; you spend all week thinking about the prospect, often takes a few attempts on goal to get the desired result, is always better when your mates are involved, sometimes you get soaked and at the end of it you have to pay for the privilege.

Project have won again, you have had an absolute worldy and as a result are wearing the Project MoM tweed blazer over a crisp white shirt, and have moisturised all vital areas with Bulldog products. Things just got interesting….. your chances of pulling have just shot up to 92%. With these odds in your favour, which female would you most like to wander into The Railway/Underdog and take a seat next to you to play 9-head?

Olivia Wilde!

An 8am Monday morning, employment critical meeting looms. You pop out for a quiet early evening pint on a Sunday to toast a Black and Gold flavoured tonking on the common earlier that day. Which 5 Project Pimps would you least like to see sitting round a table in The Underdog, lagers in hand given your impending early start? Give reasons for your answers.

1. Robbie Barron – should always be wary of a man who doesn’t have to work Monday morning and who drinks Rum instead of water
2. Duffs – another who doesn’t have to work on a Monday / Works from home. Loves a Sunday night sing a long.
3. Gavlar – This man drinks pints quicker than anyone else at PCFC, being in a round with him could be lethal on a Sunday
4. Rich Nelson – One of the main instigators in my first Sunday session, always ensuring I had a pint or 2 on the go.
5. Gregg / Jonno – not seen him around for a Sunday session yet but took to 9head like a kid with a new toy. ‘Speed 9head’.

Apart from the obligatory Coronation Chicken sandwich how do you prepare for going to war with your fellow Projectians?

My routine is usually a combination of the below items…

Occasionally…

You have recently moved in with Pony. What were you thinking?

Carson caught me unawares one Monday morning on e-mail after a heavy PCFC Sunday session, to say I wasn’t in the right frame of mind would be an understatement. Anyway I came to my senses later in the week and agreed to move in on the condition that he would move out of the house within one month. He respectfully agreed.

In what has been your Project Clapham ‘fresher’ year you have been playing Saturdays and Sundays, scoring goals, drinking more than 5 pints on a Sunday, taking numbers and generally making it rain out there. Sum up your PCFC experience to date in a maximum 140 character ‘tweet’...including relevant ‘hashtags’.

It’s been an eye opening few months @PCFC with the stand out items being; #9head #sundayboozing #winning #bobcook

Predictions for this weekend’s PCFC games?

Saturdays to win 3-0, avenging what was an embarrassing 2-0 defeat by this team two weeks ago.

Sundays to win 5-0, A first league loss last week should see us fired up to get our season back on track by smashing whatever opposition that is put in front of us.

I'll drink to that; it's been a pleasure Rob, good luck this weekend...Knowing me Alan Mantridge, Knowing you Rob Bentham, AHA!!
