For the third time in 4 years the Pulborough RFC Under 18 Girls Team have reached the National Final of the RFU Under 18’s Girls Cup. Getting to the semi-finals 5 years in a row and having won this competition twice before in 2015/16 and 2017/18 this year’s young squad of some 34 girls have once again done Pulborough RFC proud this season. They will be playing Mansfield RFC U18 Girls this Sunday, the 5th of May, at the premiership Worcester’s Sixways ground, KO 12:30.
Coached by a team led by John Breach, with Kelly Russell, Keith Beckley and Managed by Steve Summers, the side has progressed from being Sussex Champions, through the SE Final to the win the Southern Final and get to the National Final.
From the lowly beginnings of the Girls Section some 6 years ago Pulborough RFC has now got one of the largest and most successful girls and Ladies set-ups in the south of England with some 110+ girls and Ladies playing in the ‘black & white’!
From Under 11’s through U13’s and U15’s to the U18’s and the Ladies PRFC has seen the presence of girls at the club become more and more evident and successful!

Additionally two members of the squad, Lauren Fisher and Flo Robinson, have just represented the England Under 18 Girls development XV v Wales at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, having already played 7’s for England.
