Ramgarhia Slough Hockey Club met for their inaugural Awards Evening at the Exotic Karahi Restaurant

On Sunday 4th May, 2014, the members of Ramgarhia Slough Hockey Club met for their inaugural Awards Evening at the Exotic Restaurant, Farnham Road, Slough. Also in attendance were representatives of Ramgarhia Slough Sports Club, as well as many of the people who have kindly provided administrative support during the season.The evening commenced with Sardar Dhoot summarising the key events of the season. In particular, Ramgarhia Slough winning the MBBO Div 10 league with a 100% win record, a record number of goals scored, and conceding less than one goal a game. A special mention was made to Pappu Athwal, who finished as highest scorer; plus congratulations to Staines Hockey Club, who provided the sternest of competition and played with utmost sportsmanship.
Amrit Bason then presented Kuljit Bhachu with a canvas print of the team to thank him for displaying excellent leadership qualities as team Captain and working hard for the club to reach this stage.. Harjinder Singh Bal ( owner of Exotic Group) presented Sirtaj Singh Ghataaura with the award for Best Player of the Season, and Usmaan Khan received the award for Most Improved Player of the Season by Jimmy Asghar (Vice Captain). Finally, Mr Harjinder Singh Bal presented the MBBO Div 10 champions trophy to Kuljit Bhachu (Caption) and said how well the club done especially with all been volunteers to the community . Ramgarhia Slough HC would like to thank The Exotic Group Restaurant for their kind hospitality on the evening. In addition, Ramgarhia Slough HC is proud to announce that Exotic Group Restaurant has agreed to be the main sponsor of the Club for the 2014 - 2015 season, and will be supplying new kit to all of the players.
