It's been a few months now since we updated the logo and started promoting it, if you weren't at the Annual B&F dinner at Hemmingways then you probably don't know or have a few questions as to why the current logo was changed? I've asked one of the co-producers of the new logo Michael Sheedy to provide us with some information so that supporters around the world can be filled in. Here's what he had to say:

"We started the Rebels rebrand with the objective in mind of creating a team identity that our teammates could rally behind and stir in others the desire to be a part of our group

The idea was to develop an icon or character that can be associated to, and reflects, our team and characteristics while keeping the heritage that our club carries.

The Rebels work as a team and play as a team. We have a pack mentality (on and off the field) and fight hard without backing down. We go after the ball like scavengers and we have both Canadian & Australian heritage but Overall we're a Toronto team. Oh, and of course we're Rebels. We don't like to follow what others do."

And there you have it, watch out for the new logo all over Toronto!
