Redditch Eagles remain strong to dismiss Solihull

An evening game with a difference Redditch Eagles were down but not out

Redditch Eagles had a fixture pile up due to mother nature and this was our first ever night fixture - strange to say the least.

At ko Redditch Eagles had the bare minimum and the team were a little concerned. They started the game with only 9 players but within minutes Eagles were 1-0 up - Kyles' free kick was aimed towards the back post and up popped Josh Smart to calmly lace the ball into the net great goal, Eagles scored again minutes later passes between Callum and Charlie stretched Solihull and calm as you like Josh Smart drilled the ball home 2-0.

Solihull pulled one back 2-1 ,Patrick ran down the wing riding several tackles smacking a ball right against the post and was very unlucky not to score, Kyle showed some fine skills and pulled the trigger keeper fumbled Charlie pounced 3-1, Toby jumped and skipped his way through the Maroon defence to hammer the ball past a diving keeper 4-1 the fifth goal was quite special straight from the training ground , Josh Lewis skilfully found space in midfield, passed it to Toby who layed the ball to Callum and he ran onto it placing the ball passed the Maroon keeper.

The light was now against us and after a short break within minutes of the restart Charlie's superb first touch saw him take the ball down and calm as you like lifted it over the on rushing keeper.

All the boys showed moments of good football today from defence through midfield up to attack a very well done boys.
