As members of RRFC you may be aware that last year we embarked on a new strategy for sponsorship of the club which lead to the setting up of Reigate Rugby Network. The idea was that we were struggling (along with most clubs) to secure a main sponsor due to the cost and therefore decided that breaking this into chunks would be a better idea.

When we formed the network we had an immediate take up of members from within the core of long standing members and managed to easily secure the funding needed to get this off the ground, a simple ‘donation’ of £300 per year would buy membership and we would look to create a small group of like minded individuals who could meet a few times a year, share ideas not only about rugby but also to look at ways of us working together and in-turn benefitting the rugby club further, as an example there have been some engagements form a business level between members where funds have been set aside and at the same time helping members in their day to day working lives.

The next phase is now to look at expanding and inviting new members to join us, we are fairly sure there are parents and members who would welcome ways to network and do business that could ultimately bring some social benefit too.

We were very careful initially not to make this a networking club that many of us may have tried and been underwhelmed by but to be more focused and relaxed and to share ideas of how to make something more interesting!

We would very much like to invite you to consider joining the network if you feel it is something you would like to consider and as such ask simply at this point for levels of interest so we can look at how this may pan out, there are various initiatives such as boards in the club advertising services and also a website we hope to develop (all help and ideas very welcome!) http://reigaterugbynetwork.co.uk/

The next meeting will now likely be in February next year so we would to make this a success by having lots of new members, in the meantime if you have any questions you can speak to either Julian or myself and we ca hopefully tell you more and also take advantage of your ideas.
