South Sefton Borough climbed to 10th in the Liverpool County Premier League thanks to a hard-fought and determined win away at Remyca Utd. Remyca Utd drop to 6th having spurned the chance to move into 3rd. Significantly, however, this was only South Sefton Borough’s ninth league game compared to it being Remyca Utd’s sixteenth. Only Liverpool North (18) have played more at this stage of the season.
Elsewhere, leaders Waterloo Dock edged a seven goal thriller with victory at Liverpool North whilst West Everton Xaviers remain 2nd with a narrow win over Aigburth PH to build on their win last week against Remyca Utd. Wins for East Villa and Old Xaverians against Stoneycroft and Ford Motors, respectively, see them both leapfrog Remyca Utd. Page Celtic’s triumph extends ROMA’s losing streak to six consecutive games since they beat Remyca Utd on 1st December 2012. Red Rum remain 3rd on goal difference, despite not playing, and are now 8 points adrift of top spot with 4 games in hand.
