Remy defeat Bury in superb performance to continue impressive home form

Litherland REMYCA defeated Bury FC in a superb showing to continue their impressive home form.

The game began relatively evenly, with Bury having more of the ball, however, Remyca limited them to few clear cut chances in the opening 25 minutes.

The first huge chance of the match fell to the hosts, with Owen Beamon denied by a terrific off-the-line clearance by Connor Pye in the 28th minute.

Remyca took the lead in the 31st minute, Nathan Corness intercepted the ball before going round the keeper and rolling the ball into an empty net. Great goal.

Bury nearly responded instantly in the 33rd minute, however, Reuben Jerome was denied one-on-one by a fantastic Patrick McLaughlin save.

They were punished for this missed opportunity in the 35th minute, with Morgan Falloh registering his first goal for the club with a nice finish.

This was followed by another chance for the away side, but Cameron Fogerty blazed over from 12 yards out in the 41st minute.

The first half ended 2-0 to Remyca. Bury will have felt hard done by after having a fair share of possession in the half, however Remyca's resolute defending and superior finishing in front of goal earned them this first-half lead.

Bury began the second half in the perfect way, with Djavan Pedro nodding in a corner to half their deficit at 2-1.

For the next 25 minutes, Bury pushed for an equaliser, but were continuously faltered by a resolute Remyca defence as well as several great McLoughlin saves.

Remyca seemingly sealed victory in the 77th minute, James Hamill played in Corness with a piercing through ball, who made no mistake rounding the keeper and converting to grab a brace for himself.

Beamon produced a brilliant last ditch block in the 85th minute to deny Bury a late chance to half Remy's lead and keep the score at 3-1, this was followed by an amazing McLoughlin save in the 88th minute to also deny the visitors a route back into the match.

The game finished 3-1 to Remyca. Bury will be disappointed after creating several chances for themselves, however, Remyca worked effortlessly and defended resolutely throughout, that on top of several great McLoughlin saves and clinical finishing earned them this amazing victory to continue their impressive home form.
