First off I'd like to thank the players for their continued professionalism, great attitude and vast improved work ethic in the last month or so since recent changes.
Saturday was our first away game of the season meaning it was the team’s first test of playing out of their usual environment and comfort zone. However, all the hard work and dedication so far paid off; it was a highly impressive performance with every single member of the team putting in a fantastic effort.
It was another great result for us with a 2-1 victory against Staveley Miners Welfare, although there could have easily have been another 3 or 4 goals in the second half. That being said, I was very impressed with the lads being able to pull back from being 1-0 down, showing the spirit of the whole team, the manager and coaches.
I’d like to encourage our fans to please keep the strong support going for us at home this Saturday against AFC Bentley who are level with us in terms of points, making this game a really important one; winning this match will allow us to pull away and become serious contenders. I have every faith that the mighty badgers will deliver!
