Our session turnouts have been great but we ideally want numerous teams at some age groups to enable us to ensure our training groups are as effective as possible. The teams are open to players from River Juniors or otherwise.

The Junior Premier League a regional league aimed at giving players an opportunity to play against tougher opposition across the region. Based on 2017-18 ages U7 to U10 will play at the JMO in Skelmersdale and the U11 and U12 groups will play home and away, our home ground address is below where we train. Away games could be up to an hour away.

All players will receive quality coaching, Friday evenings at Archbishop Beck High School, Long Lane, L9 7BF when we return in September. The players will be part of a specific development program and we will look to help every player improve in a fun environment.

Players are expected to be of a good standard and not suited to a beginner player.

U7's (currently school year 1)

We have the majority of the squads but a couple of additional players and a specialist goalkeeper would be helpful.

U8's & U9's (currently school year 2 & 3)

We have a decision to make with these age groups, the number of players interested means we will have to not select some children but if we got more players we could maybe have 2 teams per age group. Specialist goalkeeper would be ideal.

U10's (currently school year 4)

We have really good numbers but a couple of spaces and any good players welcome to see if they can add something different to the group.

U11's (currently school year 5)

We have a enough for 1 team but ideally we require 2 teams therefore we are looking for a further 6-8 players in this age group.

U12's (currently school year 6)

This team is almost complete but players welcome to attend if they feel they would add something different to the group of players we already have.

Please remember as a club we have an open door policy and plenty of opportunities for players to get involved but this particular part of our club is not for beginners or players just starting out. We will assess any players in our other teams and if we feel suitable we will move them up to this.
