Once again the build up was dominated by trying to get 11 together to face Santos. Our injury list combined with availability problems meant we once again had to ask Sam and Trevor to do us a big favour just to keep the show on the road, and the prodigal son returned with Dave Kelly making his 25th appearance for us. The wind and rain of Storm Ashley commenced just before the team talk.
Gone are Tim's selection headaches, the team virtually picked itself with big Rich in goals again, Sam Elliot Dave Fish across the back, Danny Tom Terry me across midfield and Kris Trevor up front. Tim stayed on the sidelines ready to plug any holes. We have a good record against Santos historically but in recent seasons have added some strength to their squad and their lineup today was very solid.

Thank you to the 12 players who braved the wet wind and rain today. Thank you to Trevor and Sam who played - with out them there would have been no game. Thank you to those who who played out of position and fought for 90 minutes.
Thank you to the ultras who continued to cheer and support. Thank you to those who were fouled and picked themselves up to try and play football.
We showed great heart and character today. We lost yes, but we tried and we were together as a team.
