RP Tigers - Club communication
Dear Tiger Parents,
We do hope that your boys are enjoying their Sunday football so far this season. Thankfully the weather and the global pandemic have been kind enough to allow for a near full September and October programme - long may that continue.
This season we have added the Wednesday training session to help the boys develop their football and we hope those able to attend are enjoying it. Sadly IDVerde (Council) were not able to provide the floodlit astroturf pitches at the Raynes Park Recreational Sports Ground and this threw our planning out and hence the move to Chessington. However, we have recently received some good news in that the FA are willing to provide a grant to the Tigers to support the purchase of mobile flood lights. We will be looking to order these shortly and would hope to return Wednesday night training to Raynes Park in the new year.
Due to the curtailment of the 2019/20 season, the Committee took the decision to suspend subscriptions. With the return of a full programme for 2020/21 and the costs involved, to ensure the financial health of the club, the Committee has decided to reinstate subscriptions for the current season. Following a review of subscriptions of similar sized clubs in the area, we are setting the 2020/21 subscriptions at £250 per player. This cost helps cover the home match pitch hire, kits, training and other overheads such as insurance.
We plan to collect the subscriptions this year through Spond, our new team management application that you should all now be familiar with. So please look out for a notification from Spond shortly.
Should you have any concerns over payment please contact any member of the committee to discuss. Similarly if you have any suggestions as to how to improve the club or would like to join the Committee please feel free to come forward.
Many thanks
Terry
