After a quiet first 20 minutes the best chance so far came from Ibstock, After a ball was whipped in and they blasted it over from 6 yards. After another quiet few minutes from nowhere debutant Alex Brennan created himself an opportunity from 40 yards hitting the post and it was Joe Brown who came rushing in to tap in the rebound putting saffron 1-0 up, the lead however didmd last long as 2 minutes later in was in the back of saffrons net from a corner 1-1 at the break.

In the second half saffron came out strongly and after just 3 minutes Zak Woolman Flicked the ball over the Ibstock defence for Jamie Starbuck to Cooly slot it away 2-1 saffron. After a mistake from a combination of the Ibstock defender and goalkeeper the ball fell kindly to Jake Limbert who 45 yards out hit the ball into an surprisingly open net, fantastic goal and now 3-1 saffron. A quick bit of play from Ibstock in the 70th minute sees then get a goal by a great finish 3-2. With Ibstock trying to push for and equaliser and saffrons defence holding its own it was saffrons 4th goal that came with a great run from Joe Brown who slotted it for the on rushing Josh Kind for his 7th goal of the season.

Game finished 4-2 ibstock held there own for most of the game and was very surprised that they were bottom of the league, it just goes to show that the senior league is certainly a lot tougher that previous seasons and anyone can be beat.
