After a month of no football over the Christmas period saffron were going to have to try and brush off the cobwebs for a tough fixture against allexton & new parks. It started as expected with both teams looking like Christmas had got the better of them, with plenty of mistakes for both teams. 12 mins in whoever it was allexton who took the lead with a well finished goal from Taylor carvell, there wasn't many more chances in the 1st half only 1 to note from Roland Princewill on his debut against his former side, it came to him very quickly on his weaker foot which he put wide. 1-0 allexton at half time.

2nd half
A change at half time sees Roland come off for dan barber and Jake Limbert switching with Jamie Starbuck, Saffron certainly looked to start the 2nd half brightly and saffron looked to get back into the game with a few chances in the first 10mins of the game, unfortunately an injury sees Fraser Snowball replaced by Ben Needham. On 56 mins saffron were back in the game from a corner with captain Ben Tye rising the highest to head in 1-1. saffron looked to push on and it didn't take long for man of the match Jamie Starbuck to take saffron into the lead 2-1 saffron. All the play was now coming from saffron and a great run from that man again Jamie sees him beat a few players and smash it towards goal only for it to smash off the underside of the crossbar, allexton failed to clear their lines and Phil Howard cooly finished it off 3-1 saffron. More chances came saffrons way only to be stopped by the allexton gk. Finally the 4th goal was in and yes you guessed it Jamie Starbuck was the man of the moment to finish off a well worked move 4-1 saffron.
