Seven teams have their last league games of the season

It’s the last league games of the season for seven teams this week. The games at Skew Bridge are as follows:

10.00 Women’s 5s vs Eastleigh 2
11.30 Men’s 4s vs Southampton 3
13.00 Women’s 2s vs Alton 1
14.30 Men’s 3s vs Weymouth 1
16.00 Men’s 2s vs Southampton1

The Ladies 1’s travel to Fareham for their final game of the season, safe in 8th but with the chance to move to 7th. Fareham are second so a good final test for Salisbury, given their last two matches were good wins they will be confident.

Its also the Men’s 1s last game away at Poole who they beat 7-2 in November, like the Ladies 1’s they have won their last two games so will be looking to end on a high.

The Ladies 2’s have struggled in a higher league this season but will striving for a win on Saturday against Alton. The 2’s enjoyed a 2-1 win earlier in the season thanks to Leila Shaw and Debs Bush their first win of the season and will hope for a win in their last game.

The Ladies 3’s have had a good season and have a chance of a 4th place finish if they beat Romsey, and some other games go for them.

The Ladies 4’s finished last week and will remain in Forest Div 1 for next season.

The Ladies 5s start the day at Skew Bridge with a game against Eastleigh. Salisbury will finish comfortably mid table but will be keen to avenge the 3-1 loss to Eastleigh in November.

The Men’s 2s are safe in Div 3 South but will want a win against Southampton to end above Fareham. Southampton are mid table and won 1-0 when they last met when Elliot Godden was player of the match.

Weymouth visit Salisbury to take on our Men’s 3s, Weymouth sit one place above Salisbury and the 3’s can finish above them if they win by two clear goals.

The Men’s 4s play Southampton at home in the 11:30 push back. Salisbury still have three more games to play but will be confirmed as league winners if they can do the double against Southampton and take the three points.

Due to a disrupted season the Striders have four games left. They can finish no lower than third and have an outside chance for second. Their final push begins with an away game at Newbury a team they have drawn twice this season.

The Strollers finally get to play Camberley away, a game that has been cancelled twice. They will have to play Camberley again as there home game was also cancelled.

Sunday sees the Striders play again in their cup game with East Grinstead who make the long journey for a 1pm push back at Skew Bridge.

The U14 Boys after their narrow loss to Haselmere last weekend host Alton for an 11am pushback.
