It’s been quite a year, from your amazing support to raise funds for Tier 3 status (Welsh pyramid not Covid Lockdown), our great kids and parents within the Juniors section, hard working coaches at all ages, amazing Groundsman Andy Johno, the Wives in front of and behind the scenes, Senior Management and players all involved this year. We’ve said farewell to some popular players, a Manager and a G.O.A.T, and welcomed an exciting new coaching team and signings to take us forward and further develop little old Saltney Town!
A huge amount of thanks to those special members of the community who are there week in week out that collect rubbish, look out for the welfare of the club, and our small band of loyal sponsors. Also those in the media, always happy to discuss the Town and promote what we are, they are more important and appreciated than they realise i’m sure.
Something that’s really touched us is the amazing generosity by our Seniors for the money raised towards our community fund in the name of the club, to support some local families this Christmas. Christmas whilst being an amazing time of year, can also be one full of worry, fear and loneliness. I hope what we could do, makes even the slightest bit of positive effect to each family. You all deserve it.
Last but not least, huge thanks to my Football other half, Marc Edwards. It's been a difficult year away from football for both of us for very different reasons. You're one of the greats - and at least we've only aged 5 years in the last 12 months mate, could have been much more!
Merry Christmas from my family and I to everyone within the Town Family and beyond.
