John Hawley is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward between 1972 and 1986 for seven different clubs. He made a total of 287 appearances in the Football League, scoring 89 goals. He also had a brief spell playing in the United States.

John will be explaining to the Scholars what it takes to become a professional footballer, what life is like within the game at the highest level and some of his breathtaking experiences. He will also be taking questions from the Scholars.
