You will be missed Natalie

Natalie was not only a player at Featherstone Rovers she was part of the Community Foundation team at Wakefield Trinity, where she was Women & Girls Development Officer. Natalie was working hard with our girls section here at Shawcross, and between her and our girls section coaches, some big things were being planned for 2020 to push the girls game even further than we have in 2019.

We will continue to push hard with the girls and women’s game in 2020, our aim is to make the girls / ladies section at shawcross the biggest in the area and in memory of Natalie we will be striving to continue with the hard work.

Our girls section will be doing a sponsored walk with all proceeds to go to Natalie’s young family, we can’t even try to imagine how they are feeling right now but this is our way of helping out. Our U12’s, U14’s and U16’s will be taking on the sponsored walk, we will walk from the Shawcross club on Sunday 9th February to Wakefield Trinity for the game against Catalan dragons. If you would like to sponsor this walk then please get in touch with our girls section, an event has been created on our Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/shawcrossgirls

Once again we are saddened to hear this news and send our deepest condolences to Natalie’s family and friends.
