Salary: Competitive salary for this position.
Term: Part-time, 4 hours per week plus match days.
Location:

  • Monday training: 6pm-8pm Norton Playing Fields, Norton Lees, Sheffield S8 8PT.
  • Sunday training: 10am-12pm Tapton School, Darwin Ln, Sheffield S10 5RG.
  • Wednesday matches: either Norton or away (Leeds/Liverpool/Manchester).

Sheffield University Ladies Rugby Football Club is looking for a new Head Coach for the 2020/21 season.
The club is seeking a new head coach to oversee the coaching, delivery and ongoing strategic development of our club. SULRFC is a friendly, inclusive, student lead club which develops women from never having picked up a ball to becoming skilled team members. You will be head coach for the 2020/21 season and lead 50-60 members (alongside our assistant coach and development coaches) over three teams: our 1XV in Northern 1A, 2XV in Northern 4B and also our development team.

The position is based in Sheffield however we will also require you to come to some away matches which take place on Wednesdays. To fit the role you will need to have experience coaching, an understanding of university rugby and a desire to commit wholeheartedly to our club.

Responsibilities:

  • Head coach for 2020/21 to lead 50-60 members over 3 teams, Northern 1A, Northern 4B and Development.
  • Responsible for leading the wider coaching team.
  • Teach from beginner to advanced level - safely.

Requirements:
  • Rugby union coaching experience (at least 1-2 years).
  • Good communication skills - the club ranges from beginner to advanced therefore you will need to be able to adapt your teaching style to fit.
  • Availability for the times stated under location.
  • Level 2 coaching qualification.
  • Good understanding of RFU and BUCS systems.

Desired (not required):
  • Experience coaching a women’s team.
  • Driving license.
