Shepshed Dynamo’s awful away record continues. Their eighth game on their travels this season, against Barton Rovers in the F A Trophy, ending with a 2-1 defeat in what was, to many of the faithful traveling fans, their worst performance of the season.
Shepshed never looked like bringing home the £2000 prize money for winning this match against the lowly Evo-Stik Southern League club, who last entertained a Shepshed team some 32 years ago in an F.A Vase semi-final.
A goal in the 22nd minute by Ricky Law, who headed into his own net past Ayden Duffy, gave the home side the lead.
Ricky Case added a long overdue second for the home side in the 82nd minute and Shepshed’s cause wasn’t helped by the dismissal of Chris White for allegedly stamping on an opponent.
Dynamo skipper Iain Screaton pulled a goal back in the 90th minute but it was far too little and far too late.
