The U13 Panthers squad picked up their fourth tournament victory in three seasons on Sunday by winning the Bridgwater Wolves 6-a-side without conceding a goal. The trophy was added to the Portishead and Stoke Lane silverware from last season, and Port Of Bristol the summer before, crowning an excellent year for the team.
The reduced squad of eight worked their socks off in defence to keep clean sheets in the second tournament in a row, but no penalty heartache this time as some great finishing led them to deservedly lifting the cup. Controlled play throughout meant Shire Colts did not look in danger against any team and looked really dangerous in attack.
Will was flawless in goal with Jack and Flynn colossal at the back, never giving strikers a sniff. Kacper, Olly B, Rosco and Noah were awesome in midfield, rotating well and doing the right things at the right time. Cole up front carried his rich vein of goalscoring form from the season and the parents cheered the team to victory.
