Shire U16s have had a fantastic start to the season, with a 100% win record, and are currently at the top of BSYL Div B, level on points with Portishead Sparks but with a game in hand. They have also progressed to the quarter finals of the cup. The team has been scoring consistently this season, with either 4 or 5 goals in every match. With 8 different scorers so far, they are now much better at sharing the responsibility of scoring. The team has also shown greater depth in defence this season, with solid performances despite enforced rotation. November starts with a very tricky cup tie against Long Ashton, who are currently 2nd in the top division with 4 wins from 4. For now, the boys should feel very pleased with their progress. This squad has grown immensely in numbers, confidence, and togetherness over the last two years, and their recent performances reflect that. Hopefully they will continue to perform well and have a much-deserved great season! C'mon Shire!!!
