Shirebrook Town Football Club Announce New Management

Aimee Radford19 May 2015 - 22:39

Millington & Whitehead join Shirebrook Town FC on a 2 year deal:

Shirebrook Town FC are delighted to announce that Chris Millington and Steve Whitehead have today joined the Club on a 2 year deal and are taking over as Manager and Assistant Manager respectively.

They are a truly hard-working and dynamic young Management Team and Chris first burst onto the scene in 2012/13 when he assisted Dronfield Town FC to promotion into the Northern Counties East League.

This was then followed up with Dronfield Town FC over achieving to a impressive 51 points in the 2013/14 season, with their organisation, work ethic and team spirit evident for all to see.

The pair then moved across to our local rivals Clipstone FC in the 2014/15 season, ably assisted by Chris Bullock, where they amassed a record 93 points, being promoted as Champions, and also reached the Nottinghamshire Senior County Cup Final. The Management Teams tireless work ethic, scouting, player profiling and commitment being evident at every step.

We look forward as a Club to working with this exciting & industrious team over the coming years to see what we can achieve and allied to our fantastic support and hard-working committee the future looks bright.

Chris Millington Statement
Firstly I would like to thank the committee for giving us the opportunity to manage Shirebrook Town Football Club. It is no secret that the facilities, fan base and structure of the club is geared up to progress up the non league pyramid. I feel that over the agreed two year period we can bring stability, commitment and the success that a club this size deserves. Myself Steve and Ginner are delighted to have been given this opportunity and can't wait to get started.
