What a beautiful sunny day. Cold but sunny.
We fielded 8 Shrewsbury girls along with 3 from Port Sunlight.
Our 11 against Oswestry. Game on.
From the kick off we played some great possession rugby, advancing up the pith with great play. We did not score that time, but created 2 very clear cut chances, which Leah scored 1 1/2 tries. ??
After some great defensive and attacking plays, we lost the dirt half 5 - 1 1/2.
At half time we changed thing about a little and my special thanks go to Katherina and Jamie-Lee who played 30 minutes in an unfriendly Oswestry side. Well done girls.
Leah showed the same quick feet again but could not score again. Tayleur broke the line and scored at least 3 tries and 2 conversions. Loose ran hard and passed well. Lucy had a great game playing both on the wing and prop.
Lauren played full back and along with her strong running forward she made plenty of cover tackles.
A big thanks go out to Jenny, the sole representative from Telford.
The addition of us having 1 more player in the 2nd half helped us to win quite convincingly.
All in all another massive step forward in our rugby education. Well played each and every one of you.
