As we approach the year end and break in the football fixtures, and look forward to spending time with family and friends, it is great to reflect on the progress made with the new Community Sports Hub.

Having opened our doors in September, we have been making the finishing touches internally and have hosted a number of successful events, including the Chocolate Bingo and Quiz nights, the U7-U10s Christmas Party, and the Cricket Club Annual Dinner along with a limited number of private functions.

What has been particularly pleasing has been the overwhelmingly positive feedback of everyone who's had "The Hub experience", it's just so great that we've now got "a home"!

The Trustees have been delighted with the Club's use of the facilities, and sincerely thank those members who have given their time to volunteer on match days and at events - we couldn't have done it without you! - and we'll always welcome (need!) more volunteers so just let us know if you can help out.

The final phase of work is to complete the outside landscaping including accessible paths and a patio area to enjoy those summer days (and nights!) with a cool drink in hand.

Meanwhile, there is still an opportunity to become a FOUNDER. With more than £12,500 raised so far towards the new facilities, there is still time to get your name on the FOUNDERS Board which will be displayed in the clubhouse lounge. You also have the chance to share in a £1,000 prize fund, with a draw date to be confirmed early in the New Year. Look out for further news in January.
