As of today you can pay your match, training or membership fees by card.
Sloane have always struggled with monies owed and lists of who has paid what. So this year we are trying something new. We have adopted iZettle an app based card reader that works anywhere.
Cash is always king but the need to head over to an ATM before training or a match seems to be a struggle for many players. Direct debits appear not to be for all as there is a worry that the one training session you miss in a month will mean you are short of a fiver.
If the club wants to develop, fulfil its potential and even survive it needs to ensure there is money in the bank.
So from today you will be able to pay by card for training, matches, membership fee and yellow cards received in games at the time it is owed. We hope that the player debts that are announced at the end of each season will be gone forever.
Of course as you forget the cash that you were meant to bring there will be a fine on top of the usual fee. This fine covers the cost of using the card service and the fact you were to lazy to go to an ATM beforehand. On most cases this fine will be £1 or 3% whichever is more.
We hope it helps the clubs cash flow and the endless paperwork that our treasurer has to keep up with every week.
iZettle will be on trial with the 1st team to start with and if useful will extend into the Sunday side.
